Fertilizer and Math

 Date this was completed: 2-10-24

The liquid fertilizer I used.
This fertilizer was chosen mainly because it was the best option out of what I had at my house.
It was the most balanced fertilizer between the main macronutrients.

After careful reading of the instructions and some high-quality math...

Fertilizer in a jug!

I was able to determine that each plant/pot needed roughly 25 ml of fertilizer solution.

Carefully pouring fertilizer.

At last. All the plants are prepared.
Let the experiment begin!

Plants in the Greenhouse

Violas Sorbet 'Tiger Eye'
Originally, I wanted to use pansies, however, I was lucky that a local nursery had these because everywhere else didn't have a thing!

I was pleased with how beautiful they are, though, and they have a nice aroma.
(my dad disagrees about that last bit and claims they're "stinky flowers")

So thankful the local nursery had flowers!
(featuring my sister)

I borrowed my Grandpa Bob's greenhouse to keep the Violas warm.
My dad rigged up the heater light and thermometer so that I can regulate the temperature
so that it stays at the flowers' ideal temp (40-70 degrees F).

He also showed me how to take some of my growlights and
zip-tie them so that the Violas could stay nice and happy.
(to keep the temperature consistent, I had to put the greenhouse in the garage,
which is great for temperature but poor for natural lighting).

A very pleased me with flowers and my cool greenhouse setup.

Me insisting my dad be in a photo to receive proper credit for his DIY skills.

The flowers also got watered this week. I watered them until the water ran through the bottom of the pot and then let the water drain out.
